The three bloodlines of the Tajima-Farm are Naka Doi, Oku Doi and Kumanami. The sire that made the Kumanami line famous was Shigekanenami (Miyagi Prefecture). Shigekanenami is the sire of Shigeshigenami, the grandsire of Itoshigenami. The dam of Otoshigenami is Fukuyuki, a Fukumasa-daughter (also out of the Shigekanenami line). The inbreeding in the Kumanami-line was important to guarantee an excellent and stable marbling.
